Community Cornerstone Recipient
Congratulations to this month’s Community Cornerstone, Charles Calvin! The Community Cornerstone Award is given monthly to those with the passion and grit to make an impact on the WNY community through volunteering and giving.
Charles is a true hands-on hero, serving on the Buffalo Board of Block Clubs and running the Navel Avenue Block Club. In addition to his work in crisis services, Charles gives his time, money, and energy to transforming his neighborhood into a fun and loving community for kids. From providing essential resources and school supplies to organizing vibrant block parties, Charles works tirelessly to create a nurturing environment for local children. Charles also spearheads initiatives like a local tool library and community garden to help foster education and growth within the neighborhood.
Charles, you are a true leader and pillar in the community, and we are honored to present you with the Community Cornerstone Award, sponsored by Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union, 106.5 WYRK, 93.7 WBLK, and YOLO Restaurant & Lounge.
In partnership with Country 106.5 WYRK, we are seeking nominations to reward an individual’s passion for our community.
